Let’s talk about Belgian Witbiers. Made famous by Blue Moon, but then a style generally sworn off when the drinker’s palate evolves into more audacious styles like IPAs and stouts. There are some great ones being made in Belgium, and some made here in America, but today get yourself a beer that can do both.
Sierra Nevada’s Ovila series combines the tradition of Belgian monasteries with Sierra Nevada’s distribution footprint. The end result is a meticulously-made beer at a reasonable price point.
Today we’re featuring the Ovila White Ale, a Belgian Witbier that is sure to please any palate. Light and delicate on the tongue, but complex enough to give deeper analysis if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s a wonderful compliment to mussels, Gruyere, and any sort of lemon dessert.
