For as long as I can remember, Michigan and Wisconsin have had a friendly craft beer rivalry, hashed out through tap takeovers and tasting events. Michigan has been sending over the likes of Bells, Founders, Dark Horse, etc for years now, waging a wort war of sorts on which mitten-shaped malt masters reign supreme.
One of the more recent entries has been Marquette’s Blackrocks Brewing, located in the lesser-known upper peninsula. They make great, true-to-style beers across the board, and Potter’s Porter is no exception.
Slightly roasty with baker’s chocolate and some dark fruit notes, this is a great way to get through winter hanging out through spring.
